Presenter Bio: Dr. Denise Mullen (PsyD, MIACP)  is a consultant psychologist with experience in a wide range of settings including individual and group therapy, in-patient treatment, university lecturing and workshop presentations. she has studied extensively in the areas of psychodynamic and object relations theories, developmental psychology and attachment theory. With 27 years clinical practice in both California and Ireland, Dr. Mullen brings in-depth experience and unique case studies which allow lively discussion.

Outline: by now most of us are likely familiar with the rudiments of Attachment Theory, and the wonderful story of how John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth researched and developed it. But now the question is how to use it with our clients in practical ways? This workshop is designed to make the theory come to life and to take your knowledge to the next level; to help you build a bridge to connect to where your client is emotionally. What's Covered: A brief review of the essence of Attachment Theory, covering the categories disoriented styles specific growth goals and means of encouraging change of each category Clear case studies Methods to give you confidence to deal with difficulties you may encounter Expected Outcomes: An increased understanding of the unique criteria in each category; with practical tools to help your clients break free from negative patterens. An increase of awareness of further study. There will be interaction, discussion and time and questions.

Training Level: Intermediate 

CPD certificates will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Workshop.
