Presenter:Dr. Fergus Heffernan is an renowned Psychologist and Psychotherapist and Educationalist who specializes in Stress and Anxiety disorders and Anger Management. He has worked in many of the most troubles parts of the world delivering programmes of stress management and training as well as Critical Incident Stress debriefing to soldiers working in highly stressful battle-ground operations. Fergus holds a MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Neuro Psychology and an MSc Counselling Psychology and Family Therapies and is a member of various associations of Family Therapists, IOC, IIPT. He is also a visiting lecturer at Trinity College, Dublin, as well as a visiting professor at Columbia and Clinical Practices are guided by his understanding of how our Physical, Psychological, Emotional, Biological, Neurological Spiritual, Genetics all come together in one balanced interaction to create our humanity.
Outline:In this workshop you will learn among many things how to understand Anger better by learning about the Five Faces of Anger, the Four Cases of Anger, the Four Styles of Conflict, Anger and Power, Anger Substitutes, Anger as a Positive Force, How to Manage and Face the Pain, Trauma Types and Symptoms, Shame, how to Express Anger safely and learn the Eight Golden Rules of Anger and the Six Key Components to Resolving Conflict. In the final session Fergus will explore the role of the Counsellor.
