Workshop Outline: Most of human behaviour now takes place online through websites, apps, forums and social media such as WhatsApp and Facebook. Most of this behaviour is harmless but as in other areas of behaviour in human life there is the potential for unhealthy behaviours and even addiction. Pornography use for instance can give rise to concerns. Other areas of online sexual behaviour can also become problematic e.g. dating apps such as Tinder, Sexting, Chat Rooms, Web cams etc. Social media can likewise be used and abused for sexual purposes but can also lead to non sexual addictive patterns rooted in factors such as social competition, "Fear of Missing out", craving disctraction etc. When addictive problems arise, a variety of interventions focusing on Cognition, Emotion, Behaviour and Motivation can be useful.
