Present a Network Evening with Dr Breda Friel

 

Presenters Bio: Breda Friel is course director for PGDip and MSc courses in Community Youth Work at Ulster University Magee campus in Derry.  She is an accredited psychotherapist with IACP and BACP.  Specialising in CISD, trauma response and professional self-care,  Breda works with statutory and voluntary organisations accross N.I. and R.O.I.  Her research areas are policy process in suicide prevention, autism spectrum conditions and mental health and diversity practice

Outline: This Network evening will give  an introduction to core concepts and the practice of mindfulness.  It will examine the application of the discipline for practitioner, professional and personal self-care and how the skills can be applied in the therapy space.
