Presenter Bio: 

Pauline is a BACP Accredited therapist and an EMDR European accredited Practitioner.  Pauline is lso is a couples therapist and a qualified supervisor.


 

Workshop Outline: 

Having a Trauma informed lens. Neuroscience of how trauma impacts the brain, survival responses and psycho-education of the client. Type 1 and type 2 Trauma. Assessment and DSM-5 criteria for PTSD & CPTSD. The role of attachment and developmental trauma in client presentations. Core skills for working safely with trauma. Managing hyper and hypo arousal, flashbacks and nightmares etc. Understanding how trauma impacts the mind and body. Using somatic and creative interventions in the therapy process. Resources on further reading and training.  



CPD certificates will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Workshop.
