Workshop Outline: All relationships begin with connection, the more intimate the connection the deeper the relationship becomes. Healthy, fulfilling, romantic and sexual relationships are built on intimacy, with both partners willing to know each other and to be known. However, intimacy must be nurtured in order for it to grow. The workshop will be an opportunity to explore: • The meaning of intimacy, beginning and growing.
• Your intimate self.
• Visibility and vulnerability in the relationship.
• Knowing me, knowing you – the couple dynamic.
• The language of intimacy and sex.
• Sexual intimacy – more than just sex?
• Let’s about sex –sex and sexuality in the counselling room. The workshop aims to stimulate your awareness and encourage you to reflect on your own perceptions of sex and intimacy; through theory, discussion, self-reflection and group-work.
