Presenters Bio: Rosie Burrows, PhD is a trauma and Relationship Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Coach and Consultant, working with individuals, couples, groups and organisations on what stands in the way of restoring connection to who we really are. She has been practicing for almost 30 years, and has authored and co authored award winning research on connection, conflict, trauma healing, parent support and autism. Her main trainings have been in Gestalt, Somatic Experiencing and NARM. Her purpose is to support connection to who we really are, contributing to a culture that recognises and responds to our own heart’s desire- connection to ourselves, and between couples, families, groups and organisations.
Workshop Outline: We will: Explore and practice a clear, practical framework for intention, contracting and working without getting lost in relational, developmental trauma.
Gain an understanding of the distorted lens through which we see and experience core life issues that can drive symptoms in our clients and even in ourselves.
Support curiosity and compassion and embodied mindfulness exercises that invite the natural completion of unfinished emotions.
Deconstruct limiting beliefs, self talk, identity, and identifications.
Consider adaptive survival patterns. *
Live demonstration, supervision/consultation, theory and experiential practice will be part of this workshop.
