Presenter Bio: Martin Grogan BSc MIACP, Martin holds a first class honours degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MIACP). Martin operates a private psychotherapy practice in Midleton, Co. Cork where he works with young people and their parents or carers, adults and couples in relationship. Martin's work involves supporting individuals and couples of all sexual orientations through difficult periods in their lives including their sexual lives, sexual functioning and non-clinical dysfunction. In addition, Martin has worked in the area of sexual health promotion and sexuality training in the health services and the community for over 20 years. He has contributed to local, regional and national sexual health initiatives. Martin is co-author of a range of sexual health training resources and training programmes, including educational resources currently used in Irish schools.
Presenter Bio: Teresa Seymour Dip Couns. BA. MSc. Trn & HRD
Teresa holds a Professional Diploma in Counselling from Cork Counselling and Training Institute, a BA in Psychology and Sociology from UCC and a MSc in Training and Human Resource Development from the University of Leicester. She has also trained as a Sexuality Trainer with the former Sheffield Centre for HIV and Sexual Health. Teresa is a pre-accredited member of the IACP and works in private practice in Cork city providing counselling for adults on a range of issues including sexuality and supporting positive sexual relationships. She has worked in the area of sexual health promotion and sexuality for over 15 years, developing resources and delivering programmes for young people, teenage parents, health and community professionals, as well as the education setting. She has been involved in the development of local and national sexual health policies to guide effective sexual health promotion locally and nationally. She is currently working in the area of mental health promotion and has a particular interest in positive psychology and its benefit to overall well being and relationships
