Workshop Outline:

The Covid-19 pandemic is a chronic crisis that has impacted all aspects of functioning, at individual, community, and societal levels. The narrative arising from the pandemic is constructing the knowledge base, informing the skills and themes for therapeutic practice. Using a disaster management perspective, and strength-based approaches, this workshop will offer a reflective space, we will articulate the emerging themes and essential practice considerations, with the specific focus of offering an understanding of Covid -19 using crisis and trauma recovery and management theory. Restorative self-care will form the basis for guided practice and offer the space for practitioners to consider personal and professional self-care planning.
