SERC - The Do's & Don'ts of Working with Disordered Eating


Presenters Bio: 

Emma Murphy is a now retired, accredited member of the IACP. Emma worked in private practice for over 10 years as an Eating Disorders Specialist in both Dublin and Cork. She is a FETAC Trainer and HSE certified Group Facilitator. Since 2017 Emma has been training counsellors, therapists and nutrition coaches/therapists in working with Binge Eating Disorder, and now has a network of practitioners around Ireland, in the UK and more recently in the USA.


Workshop Outline:

Participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the four main Eating Disorder Diagnoses, and clear guidelines on do's and don'ts when working with clients with an Eating Disorder, in line with best practice regarding competency and specialist training. Participants will gain a strong working knowledge of Binge Eating Disorder, a 'best practice' model of working with this client group and the underlying psychological factors that go with Emotional Eating & Binge Eating Disorder.


CPD Certs will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Workshop
