Una McCluskey Dphil is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of York and full non-clinical member of the UKCP (retired). Best known for her extensive research in the field of empathic attunement in adult psychotherapy, she developed a theory of interaction based on her extensive investigation of early childhood development and is widely known for her contribution to theory and practice in the Dynamics of Attachment in Adult Life. She has published numerous books and articles in this and related fields and is a founder of The Association for Exploring the Dynamics of Attachment in Adult Life.
This interactive workshop aims to support practitioners to comprehend how Attachment patterns extend to Adult relationships. It will explore the dynamic interaction between the 7 biological-psycho-social systems, how the exploratory therapeutic processes can be attuned to the careseeking presentation of the client, how therapists can regulate arousal in clients and introduce the model known as Exploratory Goal-Corrected Psychotherapy.
