Adler's insights shed light on the profound impact of neglect on a child's development. Neglect has profound implications for a child's development, as it
deprives them of the necessary affection, attention, and encouragement. In this course, we will delve deep into the root causes and contemporary manifestations of neglect. Additionally, we will explore the intriguing question of whether excessive indulgence can serve as compensation for childhood neglect.
Upon completion of this course, participants will have achieved the following:
1. Develop a profound understanding of the causes and manifestations of
neglect and recognize why neglect is a form of emotional violence.
2. Understand the potential consequences of neglect, including insecure
attachments, a lack of social feeling, reduced resilience, and the development
of neurotic tendencies.
3.Explore the concept that spoiling can sometimes be an attempt to respond to
childhood neglect.
4.Learn practical steps to reduce neglect and promote healing.
