Presenter's Bio: 

Annie trained as a bodywork psychotherapist and initially worked at Limerick Rape Crisis Centre. She now works in private practice, supervising and facilitating supervisor training. She trained in group facilitation in UCC, has a certificate in on line work and has trained in supervision with Dr Michael Carroll, as well as gaining a MSc in Supervision and Reflective Practice from the UK.


Event Outline: 

The workshop will look at the supervisory working alliance which negotiates the basis for robust supervision and supporting the functions and task of supervision with any professional , along with the supervisory relationship. The workshop is experential in nature drawing on creative techniques, with small group work as well as individual work. Annie belives in collaborative learning, knowing that supevisors have many skills and years of experience which all can learn from. The workshop will give participants a chance to develop their supervisory muscles and creativity.

Annie set up Supervision Training in 2006 providing supervisor training enabling therpaists to supervise all professionals. Supervision Training continues to provide skills theory and practice to train competent supervisors. She continues to practise on line, as a psychotherapist and supervisor, supervising all levels of therapists and other practitioners individually and in groups. Annie has worked at Tivoli Institute, on the MA in Psychotherapy in UL and has facilitated various workshops. She has worked voluntarily in Nepal training psychologists, psychosocial counsellors and other practitioners in Supervision; she continues in this work supporting the fledgling profession of psychotherapy in Nepal.
