Presenter's Bio:

Carol is a qualified Poetry Therapy Practitioner (PTP) and current member and past chair of Irish Poetry Therapy Network, Carol facilitates individual and group ‘Self-Discovery Through Poetry’ workshops at home and internationally. She regularly runs workshops at IPTN annual conferences and, in 2023, she spoke at the Italian Symposium on Poetry Therapy.

She is also the long-standing facilitator of MS Writers, Ireland’s only dedicated writers’ group for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Event outline:

This is a two hour experiential Poetry workshop on zoom, where participants are encouraged to discuss their observations and life experiences. Although you do not need to be a poet or, indeed, a writer, time will be allotted to express personal feelings through writing, following a series of writing prompts. At no stage do participants have to read out their work.

Personal Development from self-discovery through poetry. Also experience of poetry therapy as a tool in the psychotherapy practice.
