Rachel Dempsey is a highly experienced educator/facilitator focusing on the areas of regenerative wellbeing, eco-anxiety and climate justice. Her project, Full Circle Change, aims to foster connection, wisdom and resilience for thriving people and planet and Rachel provides training for groups and organisations as well as workshops and retreats for individuals. Rachel has several decades experience in environmental activism, community development, supporting refugee communities and global citizenship/environmental education and brings a knowledge of world/indigenous cultures, nature connection, group singing and holistic energy work to her workshops. Rachel has degrees in Latin American Studies (BA) & Ethnomusicology (MA) and is currently undertaking an MA in Climate, Justice and Sustainability. Her work has been featured by RTE and she was featured as one of Ireland’s leading climate visionaries on SEAI’s 180 Degree podcast. She is the founder of Newtown Together, a community organisation supporting refugees in North Wicklow.
This highly interactive workshop will feature three main themes:
1) An Uncertain World - Exploring environmental breakdown and other aspects of the current global poly-crisis impacting on Irish society.
2) Mental Health in a Chaotic Times – Exploring the impact of the poly-crisis on mental wellbeing. Reflections and Literature Review.
3) Responding to Distress caused by Socio-Environmental Challenges. Reflections and Literature Review
