Certificate in Gambling Addiction is designed to support existing and emerging Healthcare professionals and counsellors who will care for and support individuals with gambling addictions in diverse settings such as residential treatment sites, hospitals, community, health centres, social care settings or other sites deemed relevant to meeting the complex health care needs relevant to this population cohort. The programme is designed to provide the learner with a foundational understanding of the lived experience of gambling addiction in contemporary Ireland and the core knowledge and skills required to recognize and respond to persons with problem gambling addiction. The SPA is designed to represent national and International developments and evidenced based best practices in problem gambling addiction.
