Presenter's Bio:

Gerard has been working in the healing profession for forty years. He trained as a nurse in London before returning to Dublin and training in Dublin institute of technology where he graduated as a social care practitioner. He worked with vulnerable adolescents and adults in residential care for ten years.

 

He then embarked on further training but this time in the Counselling and psychotherapy, he is a field certified reality therapist. From there he trained in integrative counselling and psychotherapy with Turning point graduating with a masters in psychotherapy. Following on from this he trained as a supervisor in 2010, and he has a very busy private practice in Dublin city centre. In 2012 Gerard undertook transpersonal training and in time set up the Shamanic and psychotherapeutic institute where he provides weekend workshops and diploma courses. He also provides training to staff teams in the residential care system as well as addiction centres and with the prison service.

Event Outline:   

This workshop will utilize the models of transpersonal therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, inner child work as well as interventions from meditation , visualization and body work.

 This will assist practitioners, to help their clients to connect into and get a deeper awareness and clarity of their journey, and release the issues , themes , patterns and behaviors that hinder them from moving forward on their life journey.
