Conal completed his BSc in Psychiatric Nursing in 2013 and returned to univiersity completing following postgraduate courses and his MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including a locked psychiatric unit, secondary care psychology services and has spent the past 5 years working in Specialist Perinatal Psychiatry Services in the HSE treating an array of complex mental health problems.
He has also worked in the Dept of Medicine and CBT research dept in Trinity College Dublin developing an online CBT skill app. He regularly provides expert CBT consultation for complex cases and lectures/seminars to therapists on the postgraduate CBT courses in Trinity College, as well as delivering transdiagnostic anxiety groups, OCD groups and postnatal depression groups.
In 2022 He embarked on his Doctorate in Psychotherapy with a particular focus on OCD and anxiety disorders. He also works to improve access to psychological supports and is the owner and Clinical Director of CBT Solutions which is a private primary care center in the heart of Castleknock.
