Two Day Workshop: Application of CBT for weight loss
Presenter: Susi Lodola
This programme and work shop are not intended to deal with eating disorders, it is intended to work with people who are struggling to lose weight and lack motivation, have to overcome emotional eating and learn various cognitive and behavioural skills to help them achieve sustainable weight loss. Susi Lodola - MIACP
I have been in private practice for over 2 years and I am currently in my final year of
MSc in CBT and MI from WIT.
I have a BA in linguistics and a degree in Psychology from UCD, and a BA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Last year I attended a 3 day workshop at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, on CBT for weightloss to further develop a programme I have founded for weight management using CBT and MI.
I have been running the weight loss programme for over 2 years in my private practice in group settings and on one to one basis. Currently I am applying the 8 week programme as part of my Masters research project in a closed facebook group to investigate the effectiveness on delivering such a programme through a social media platform.
