Adolescent Psychotherapy is an ever expanding and specialist area of practise. Thus, in ensuring principals of best practices when working with this client group, therapists need to possess the appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies in order to ensure they are working ethically, professionally and effectively with this population group. As such this CPD Diploma In Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy has been developed to address the gap in training at diploma level for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to work therapeutically with this client group.

Main Educational Objectives:

  • Acquire a clear understanding and appreciation of the legal and ethical issues specific to adolescent psychotherapy.
  • Develop a sound understanding of adolescent development across all developmental domains.
  • Appreciate the importance and value of parental involvement in adolescent psychotherapy.
  • Understand the impact of developmental trauma on the developing adolescent psyche.
  • Gain a sound understanding and appreciation of the value of utilising creative mediums in adolescent psychotherapy.
  • Acquire an in depth knowledge and skills to effectively utilise a range of empirically validated modalities in an integrative manner.
  • Become proficient in working therapeutically with adolescents in a manner appropriate to their level of need, ability, developmental level and social context.

 

The programme consists of 11 Modules. Each module is run over two days on a Saturday and Sunday.

Start: 9.30 am – Check in 30 minutes.

Lecture: 10 am – 11.15pm

Break: 11.15pm – 11.30pm

Interactive Workshop: 11.30pm – 1pm

Lunch: 1pm- 2pm

Lecture: 2pm – 3.30pm

Break: 3.30pm to 3.45pm

Experiential Learning : 3.45pm to 5pm

Group Process - Check Out 5pm to 5.30pm

Fees and fees breakdown (what is included in the price, e.g. materials, coffee breaks, lunch): 

Course fee €1,950 which  includes all course materials, certificate, teas and coffee.

Lunch not included.

One to One Supervision  hours not included. Payable directly to chosen supervisor.

 

Fee Breakdown:

Deposit €450. First day of programme €1000. First day of second module €500.

 

Cancellation and Refunds policy

Course deposit and fees are strictly non-refundable unless programme is cancelled by Liz Quish of The Greenane Centre. In the event that Liz Quish of The Greenane Centre has to cancel the training programme all fees paid by participants will be refunded within 7 days of  notice of course cancellation.
