SERC - Ethical Deliberation- Responding to Ethical Dilemmas in Supervision (for supervisors) 


Presenters Bio:

Dr Rita Glover has extensive experience in the fields of supervision and psychotherapy as Chair of the Professional Diploma in Clinical Supervision and as an Assistant Professor in Psychotherapy on the MSc in Psychotherapy and the Doctorate in Psychotherapy programmes in Dublin City University. Dr Glover is an accredited supervisor and an accredited psychotherapist.

She provides individual, shared and group supervision to pre-accredited, accredited counsellors and psychotherapists and provides supervision consultation to supervisors. Dr Glover's specialist lecturing, training consultancy and research interests (nationally and internationally) include psychotherapeutic supervision, integrative psychotherapy, individual and couple therapy and psychosexual therapeutic practice.


Workshop Outline:

This online workshop is designed to enhance supervisors’ knowledge, skills and management of ethical dilemmas that arise in their supervisees’ counselling /psychotherapy practices. During the workshop supervisors will have an opportunity to develop understanding of the importance of ethical deliberation as a central function of the supervisory endeavour, in upholding standards of safe and ethical practice.

The workshop will enable supervisors to building ethical maturity and ethical capacity in supervisees by modelling ethical reflection and practice. Through consideration of real world ethical issues, participants will have an opportunity to gain insight into their professional and personal responses to ethical dilemmas in supervision, practise ethical deliberation and ethical decision making as well as discussing how best to manage ethical responsibilities in supervision.


 CPD Certs will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Event
