Toufik Messabih is a psychotherapist member of IACP and a social entrepreneur with a background in sports therapy (Adapted Physical Activities) and archery coaching. Born in France, with Algerian roots, he has a passion for social justice and personal growth. He is the 2020 Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) winner in the Ideas Academy category for the creation of Lib Multicultural Counselling and Support Programme.
Toufik created the Amaris resilience programme which was the object of his thesis for the Masters in Applied Psychology that he recently completed with University College Cork. Although he is trained in the area of trauma focused therapy (EMDR and Narrative Exposure Therapy), Toufik’s work is deeply rooted in a strength-based approach that promotes self-efficacy, agency and resilience
