WNWR Supervisors Forum - The Art and Craft of Caring and Brave Conversations
Event Outline:
The Forum is an attempt to tease out seminal thoughts in Thomas Moore’s Soul Therapy: The Art and Craft of Caring Conversations (2021) and Brent Brown’s Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations and Whole Hearts,(2018).
This Forum is a discussion around these two must-reads for supervisors.
Brian’s doctoral research on shame’s role in shaping authenticity was heavily influenced by encountering the work of Brown while completing his clinical placement at New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre and NYU Langone Medical Center.
Shane’s doctoral research examines the place of Power in the therapeutic Relationship.
Both from the West they are passionate about supervisors meeting and learning together.
