Presenter Bio:
Miriam is a Gestalt psychotherapist (non-clinical), working as a supervisor, consultant, international trainer and author. She was in private practice from 1995 to 2022, specialising in trauma. She has worked for an independent trauma service for over six years, and previously as clinical lead of a young peoples' service.
Workshop overview:
The supervision of trauma workshop will explore contemporary trauma practice, through the lens of relationship and the body. Particular attention will be paid to boundaries, risk, ethics and parallel process.

Understanding the traumatised fieldThe supervision matrix – a relational model for the work
Experiential:
Embodied reflections on trauma processes, especially focusing on power and shame
Understanding the relevance of co-regulation
Small group tasks
Clinical:
Use of case vignettes as a basis for discussion and to illuminate the theory
Demonstration:
Use of live supervision to demonstrate the material
