Presenter's Bio:

Sandra is a qualified and experienced psychotherapist working with adolescents and adults, with over 30 years of practice behind her. She holds an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and diplomas in Adolescent Psychotherapy, Supervision Across Professions, and Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD). Her work includes supporting young people and adults who are experiencing suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviours, and she brings a compassionate, collaborative approach to crisis intervention. Sandra is a neuro-affirming practitioner with experience working with clients who are autistic and/or have ADHD, and she is a committed ally to the LGBTQ+ community. She aims to offer a safe, compassionate, respectful, and non-judgemental space where each person feels seen, heard, and supported.


Event Outline:

Sandra is presenting an overview of her research paper on working with actively suicidal clients. This presentation will also include practical guidance on working with clients who are actively suicidal.
