Presenter's Bio:
Alan is an IACP-accredited psychotherapist with a BA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, an MA in Pluralistic Counselling and
Psychotherapy, and is currently completing a Doctorate in Psychotherapy. Working in private practice, he specialises in sexuality, gender, and
neurodiversity, with a particular interest in how these identities intersect within the therapeutic space. Alongside clinical work, Alan is a lecturer at IICP College, where he teaches modules on sexuality, counselling skills, and research methods. Passionate about inclusive and affirming practice, Alan’s work explores how therapists can better understand and respond to minority stress and the complex lived experiences of diverse clients.
Event Outline:
Exploring the intersections of sexuality, gender identity, and neurodiversity, this workshop examines how
minority stress shapes clients’ lives and therapeutic processes. Participants will gain insight and ways to
create more inclusive, affirming spaces in their practice.
