In contemporary professional supervision practice the old adage "The faintest of ink is always better than the strongest of word" holds true

Presenter's Bio:

Mike joined PCI College In 2010 , one of Ireland’s largest counselling and psychotherapy educational providers as a lecturer, a role which continued for 11 years, finishing his time as Senior Faculty Lecturer. In 2015, Mike became a clinical supervisor. facilitating a space for other professionals to grow and develop. Today, he is in full-time private practice working online and in-person with a variety of clients, supervisees and as a group supervisor, developing continuing professional development courses for therapists and supervisors, and, delivering public lectures and consultancy on a variety of mental health related topics.

Written contracts for therapy and supervision are now expected in professional practice. Written contracts protect supervisors, ensure effective, well understood boundaries, provide a shared understanding of the parameters of the work ahead and help to hold our work with supervisees safely within professional standards and current legal obligations.

In this short workshop we will explore two contemporary supervision contracts - one-to-one supervision and group supervision. We will explore the implications for contract differences when delivering supervision online versus in-person and discuss initial contracting, re-contracting and closing out our contract when the work has come to an end. Samples of each of these contracts will be provided to participants during the event. There will be lots of opportunities for breakout and large group discussion throughout. So, if you you've been thinking of devising, revising or evaluating your supervision contract, this workshop is for you.

CPD Certs will be emailed to participants after attendance
