Online - MRC Network Event Developing our professional understanding: A glimpse into the experiences of clients that are refugees
Presenter's Bio:
Imelda holds a PG Diploma in Equality Studies; Qualifications in Learning, development, training, strategic development encompassing international and historic issues; many years’ experience in providing targeted workshops; author of textbooks, including ‘Realising Potential’, covering equality and diversity issues for early years educators; lived experience working directly with refugees for 2 years in Greece.
Event Outline:
Will give a broad understanding of the worldwide issues concerning immigration, refugees and asylum seekers.
Participant will Learn about the typical experiences of refugees and their journeys. Participants will develop an understanding of the current situation for refugees, asylum seekers and an understanding some issues that can emerge in direct work with individual refugees.
We will explore some useful supports and resources that have been developed by agencies in this field.
CPD Certs will be emailed to participants after attendance.
