The Three Lies™ Framework Foundation Programme Days 1 and 2

November 12th & 13th 2026 | 14 CPD Hours | Live Online via Therapy Academy

1. Presenter Bio

Dr Eileen Higgins

Dr Higgins is developer/presenter of The Three Lies™ Framework Foundation Programme. She is an IACP accredited psychotherapist, IACP accredited clinical supervisor, PSI member and clinical/health psychologist. The programme introduces a practice-informed formulation approach to anxiety, protective responses and meaning. It is taught through on-demand narration, slides, workbook tasks, resources, reflection and completion evidence.
The framework is taught as a formulation aid, not as diagnosis, psychometric assessment or a superior model.

2. Course Outline

Provide a two-day foundation CPD course in formulation-based work with anxiety. Introduce The Three Lies™ Framework as a practice-informed formulation aid. Move from symptom description toward collaborative psychological formulation. Explore Coping, Adequacy and Belonging as anxiety-related protective themes. Develop tentative, client-led language grounded in context, consent and supervision. Use composite case material and workbook reflection to practise formulation thinking. Respectfully distinguish the framework from CBT, ACT, Schema, IFS, DBT and psychodynamic therapy. Teach ethical limits: trauma sensitivity, risk, diagnosis, referral, supervision and scope. Consider culture, identity, social context, family systems and power before naming meaning. Use Day 2 to consolidate application through TLAQ™ practice, safeguards and integration. Support 14 CPD hours: 7 structured hours Day 1 and 7 structured hours Day 2.

3. Learning objectives
