Midlands Regional Award [10/11/23]

10th November 2023

 Press Release

Christine Earley Moran Honoured with Prestigious Midlands Regional Award

Honours Commitment to the Counselling and Psychotherapy Profession

Christine Earley Moran of Drumraney, Athlone, Co. Westmeath was honoured with the Midlands Regional Award by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The IACP Regional Awards recognise an IACP accredited member who makes a notable contribution to the profession of counselling and psychotherapy in their local community and region.

Speaking today regarding this year’s Midlands Regional Award, IACP Cathaoirleach Séamus Sheedy said:

“I would like congratulate Christine Earley Moran our Midlands Regional Award honouree and acknowledge her outstanding contribution to counselling and psychotherapy within the Midlands region, my own locality. I have seen first-hand her passion and commitment, and she is a very worthy recipient of this accolade.

Christine has been a leading light within the world of counselling and psychotherapy and has dedicated her life to our profession. Christine inspires us all and encourages us all. Christine has always recognised the need for the maintenance of both her own personal development and every counsellor and psychotherapist”.

Mrs Earley Moran has constantly and tirelessly strived to provide not only support for her own clients but for others both in counselling training and in professional practice themselves. Christine knows the value of lifelong learning and that we will never stop learning in our lives. Currently she runs the ICPPD college (which she founded with her husband Tom) but also completed her PhD in Psychotherapy earlier this year.

Commenting following the award IACP member Christine Earley Moran noted:

“I would like to thank the Midlands IACP Regional Committee for their nomination for this award, which means a lot to me, and I am very proud of it. It sits on our dining room window with the one Tom received from the region a few years ago. We are probably the only couple in Ireland who have received a regional award, and what an honour it is to be of service to clients and to be a gatekeeper for this profession that I love. I wish the Midlands Committee the best in their work promoting IACP and each other as practitioners and members.”

The annual awards ceremony was held at the IACP’s 8th annual conference on the 21st October 2023 at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
