Government Announce €3 Million Community Health Fund [02/12/19]

Minister Daly believes this will "help local organisations to improve the mental well-being of people"

The IACP welcomes the news that today (02/12/19), Ministers Jim Daly and Simon Harris today announced a €3 million fund to bolster nationwide community mental health initiatives.

This fund will support local sports and community organisations that promote mental health and alleviate loneliness.

The fund is administered via the Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) and the Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSCs) which aims to deliver innovative actions in line with local and national policies and objectives for the benefit of people.

Minister Daly advises any interested parties to make contact through their local, LCDC (through the local Authority) or CYPSC, for information on the type of actions planned under the Fund.
