As a well-established and respected supervisor, he has motivated and supported many counsellors and psychotherapists. Brian has had a positive and sustained impact in the West North-West Region and beyond.
In recent years, Brian has developed and presented innovative approaches to supervision, using the works of well-known international authors as a springboard for discussion on the nature of supervision and the role that the supervisor plays in the supervisor – supervisee relationship. I have greatly enjoyed presenting different approaches to supervision across the country and I hope that these approaches will have played a part in strengthening the supervisor – supervisee relationship. I would like to thank the West North-West Region Committee for their nomination, and I was honoured to accept this award at the IACP annual conference at the weekend”.
Dr Brian Conlon concluded:
“Personal therapy is the springboard of awards like this. The ongoing journey is the aim to be real in every encounter and here’s to all the people who taught me realness”.
